I still call it King Dick's Faire. Because it used to be called King Richard's Faire before they renamed it to Renaissance Faire.

Yup,that's why I spell it that way too. Grew up with it.
These cosplayers at the Faire are great. When the Queen came out to greet everyone at the Faire, I, dressed as Ash, approached he and her entourage for a photo. Immediately, the Queen's guards drew their weapons and held me at bay! I put my hand up (see what I did there?) and said, "I just want to talk to the Queen..." They looked at me and each other quizzically and then slowly lowered their weapons and I was allowed to approach for the photo. It was so cool.
I also saw a bunch of cosplayers walking around in black tacgear and M4s and I was like, wha...? And then I saw that they were USAF and realized that the Stargate had been opened again and they landed here in Renaissance times.
Very creative.
