How's everyone?

Hey guys,

I'm guilty of dropping off the face of the earth lately. How's everyone doing? We got busy over tha past weeks raising a bunch of stray kittens I found outside my office. We managed to find homes for 2 of them and we might end up keeping one of them. I also went up to GenCon in Indianopolis with my BattleTech 'buds and had a good time. Didn't play that much Battletech but got to try out a lot of role playing games that I haven't played before.

Anyone still playing Mechy or has it been patched and modded to the point that no one can get it to wrok anymore? I've been hearing the sound of ER larges going off in my mind ever since I read the start of Slamm's story so I am thinking about trying to jump in a few games and get my butt whooped.

i already hit you up on the carving thing in the other post hehe.

ive been playing planetside myself latly. the 151 guys got into it for the most part so i play 'night shift' on the european server.

i was going to get back into mechwarrior. but every time go threw the pain of installing all the stuff just to get on a stupid server now days, the game dosnt work. i still have the bitter taste in my mouth of spending all the time installing stuff, playing for an hour, then comeing back and trying again the next day to get nothing but crashes and dump to desktops. its this reason alone that i dont play MW anymore. if i wanted that level of frustration i would just simply work late, and on weekends as well ;)

on a good note, planetside is getting mechs of sorts, called BFR ( battle frame robots) they looks similiar to mechs so i hope to have that feel of heavy metal under my feet again in some point in the future.

hey wolf good to hear from you again man. not doing too much here realy, just what you read above plus pestering wife and kids.

mech 4 dosnt seem to work on my new system for any leangth of time. i can install it and stuff and play for a day or two then POOF something goes bad and it refuses to work. so i basikly gave up on it. i pray to the mech gods that some day they will make another mechwarrior for the PC and it might actualy work hehe.

untill then im stuck playing around with other games.

Heh , hey BH . I think everyone else had MW working fine minus all the updates from Mek Tek . Remember 976-Pain was having problems with his Mech Warrior Game ? He said he had a bug in his game and finally got a new MW Game from MS . That's after he tried all other options and still couldn’t play it properly ( or host ) like he wanted to in the game.


I’m thinking you have a way better computer then mine now days and since MW didn’t play on either your old computer setup or your new one , hmm , maybe you need to exchange the game for a fresh one.

I saw MW Merc going for a 10 spot at the computer store awhile back. It's doubled since then tho. . That could be because Mek Tek has been busy I guess. I lost my MW Merc awhile back and have been thinking about getting another one now that Mek Tek has been doing a good job at keeping MW alive. There’s still lots of Mech Warriors out there today i'll bet and I still get an e-mail from the Mech Warrior League now and then. Too bad we never got to play a T2 game at MWL. It would have been lots of fun and we would have tore it up big time. Well , next time I get extra currency I’ll add that game to my list along with PS.
