Rome

Post by PanzerMeyer »

Yeah, flog me like Pullo was for being so far behind the times but I just started watching "Rome" a couple days ago and I think its utterly fantastic. I've only watched the first two episodes so no spoilers please. I just wanted to give a quick word on how impressed I am with this show so far.

Vorenus and Pullo are great characters and the actors who play Julius Caesar and Cicero are great!

You will be utterly surprised how they leave us at the end of the show also. There has got to be more to that series. And lets not speak on Dead Wood, I missed the last episodes.

You are in for one great ride. I was glued to the TV when season 1 was on, and I missed season 2 when it was on TV. However, I was able to watch season 2 on DVD, man what a great show. It really sucks you in and you get attached to the characters. My favorite character was Mark Antony, and the guy who played Julias Cesar was great too.

The friendship between Lucius Vorenus and Titus Pullo is amazing. Through thick and thin, they stick together. One character I could absolutely not stand was Octavian (young and old), he was a pompous spolied brat. He kind of reminded me of Geoffry in the Fire and Ice series books.
