New Toy

Post by Silk »

Hey there,

Got a new toy yesterday. When I was looking at the specs I knew it would be big, however, OMG this thing is a beast. It has awesome sound for a laptop and the BluRay is fantastic, had to rent a movie last night just to try it out. Installed AoC on it and set to highest graphics at 1680x1080 and it ran with no probs. So far this thing is wonderful.

Hope the link works. It's the HP pavilion HDX 9494nr.
Pretty much all the reviews I've read and the only major complaint is the size. This thing is just plain out huge.

I have a hp 8000 series hondo has the newer dv9000 series, basicaly his is newer model of mine lol. They are 17" monitors so dam big for a laptop, generally known as a desktop replacement laptop. But got mine about a 2 years ago now dam time flys, hondo about a year. Ours where the biggest ones of there day for HP this looks like the continuation of that sort of line. the dv9000 still around in upgraded form but yours seams to be the next big desk top replacement laptop for hp. But dam 17" monitor on laptop is big a 20" man don't expect to lug that thing every ware you go lol.

Very nice! Haven't seen you in AoC for a while, good to hear you're still playing. :)

I'm still awaiting email addresses from a couple of people to send them a Buddy invite...

I be ascared of Funcom. Some of the posts in their tech forums read like horror stories. Plus, I'd hate to download the thing and then not be able to play because I can't verify something because I don't have a cell phone (and I wouldn't give them the number even if I did).

I'm content to wait and see how it goes with everyone else. Thanks anyway, tho.
