My question is......where are the Ghosts?A senior Russian military commander said parts of Russia's 58th army were approaching the rebel capital, where fighting raged between Russian-backed separatists and Georgian forces sent in on Friday to seize it.
A senior Georgian security official said Russian jets had bombed the Vaziani military airbase outside the Georgian capital Tbilisi, and President Mikheil Saakashvili said 150 Russian tanks, armored personnel carriers and other vehicles had entered South Ossetia from neighboring Russia.

you mean because mother Russia backs the rebels who have broken away from Georgia in the south and broken every cease fire they have negotiated with Georgia, and when Georgia finially said enough, and went in to retake the breakaway rebels, that Mother Russia decided thats a good enough excuse to take back all of Georgia? Remember Georgia is a pro western, big time pro US former soviet republic......and a big supporter of the GWoT, and an ally to boot.
Just saying.........

Oh, I'm not saying that Georgia doesn't have any legitimate grievances against Russia because they most certainly do. I'm just saying that it would be a bad idea for the US or Nato in general to intervene militarily in that situation. It's just not worth it.Buffalo Six wrote:you mean because mother Russia backs the rebels who have broken away from Georgia in the south and broken every cease fire they have negotiated with Georgia, and when Georgia finially said enough, and went in to retake the breakaway rebels, that Mother Russia decided thats a good enough excuse to take back all of Georgia?
