RoF: ICE $7.99 on Amazon

Post by Hudson »

Rise of Flight: Iron Cross Edition is $7.99 for a code/download on Amazon (you can just take the code they give you and enter it in online on your RoF account, no need to download anything new/again).

It's awesome that you finally got ROF! We will most definitely fly this on Tuesday. If I remember correctly, the ICE version has 8 flyable planes.

Correct. I have been mostly using the SPAD that comes with the Play for Free, and the Sopwith Camel. Haven't flown any German aircraft yet, though I have been meaning to reverse the fights now that I have actually been victorious one or twice. My only complaint is that I feel like I'm in freakin' nascar. THEY'RE MAKING ANOTHER LEFT TURN!!!

Whereas I have no use for Track-IR in A-10C where my head is down on the MFCD's most of the time it is a complete life saver in this game.

Yup, TrackIR is absolutely essential for ROF especially because so much of your view is obstructed by the MG barrels, engine cowling, etc. You need to be able to move your head and look around those obstacles to get a good firing solution.

IMHO, the toughest scouts to fly in ROF are the Camel and the Dr.I because of the torque their engines produce. The rotary engine on the DR.I is especially bad.

The Spad XIII and Albratros D.V are great planes for beginners since they are very stable and easy to fly.

ouch, yes, seems it's back up to $30+. I did not realize it was a limited time sale - thought it was the normal Amazon digitial download price. Guess I just got really lucky and looked at the right time.

You can at least still get the original ROF release with 2 flyable planes for free Hammer. We have plenty of coop missions that use those 2 planes. :-)
