Planning on playing in our fantasy football league. You really can't sign up too early and start planning for our draft day, Aug 17th. Pay attention to the rules that grif set up -- last year, the league I was in had a silly setup where you did not have to have a TE ... Half the league complained that they wasted a pick by choosing that position but they should have read the rules that said you did not need one.

So what does the Autopick mean under league settings? Are our teams going to be randomly picked? Do we set our picks and the computer drafts for us? Not sure how that works, I'll have to do some research.
The draft is at 5am EST on August 17th. That's 2am my time! I hope the draft doesn't take very long, omg! Lol.

Yes, I'm changing the time of the draft to late afternoon,early evening eastern time to make it more viable for everyone. I didn't understand autopick at first either. Essentially, if you're not present, ESPN's java program will pick your team for you. If you're playing to win, not a good idea. If you're able to come to the draft, you should show up and participate. You should have some sort of game plan as well, you'd be amazed at how fast quality picks disappear and in which round they tend to go. I strongly urge you and the rest of the group here to read articles at this link:

A lot of you still haven't joined the league, which is fine. But, if you haven't received an invite email from me or are still having trouble, let me know so I can help you out. You should have received an invite email from me to join, if you haven't gotten one, let me know right away.

If it is between 2pm and 4:30pm pm PST, I won't be able to make the draft. I have a 3pm game August 17th, which means I have to leave an hour before (Travel time) my game. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope the draft is within my time range.

I believe you can join the draft room one hour prior to start so that you can organize your rankings, but I think you probably want to do that even before then.
