Oh well. I hope the Phillies or Dodgers sweep Tampa Bay in the WS.

frankly, with all the issues with Wakefield, I'm surprised they started him. For all the weirdness of a knuckleballer, there seemed to be too much of a downside.

@Panzer: Goodluck with that wish -- hope you don't have any money riding on it. Also, don't get so down on your team - didn't they come back from a 3-1 deficit last year?

Yes they have come back from 3-1 deficits in the past but the Sox have been so grossly outclassed by the Rays offense so far that I really dont see a comback being possible. Believe me, I'd love to end up eating my words.

That was both a shocking and amazing comeback but now we have to win TWO in Tampa. Wont be easy.

Exciting finish.

Plus, it's not like they haven't done this a few times before. The Sox are a legendary team, after all.

If the Red Sox come back and win the series I will cry like little girl.

LMAO, ok if the Red Sox go to the World Series then I'll get beers for everyone in WOF when we have a get-together.

Anyone remember what happened on Oct. 17, 2003 at 12:16 AM EST?

Arron Bleeping Boone blooped a wakefield flutterball over the fence to end the 2003 ALCS.

Drew hit the game winner at 12:16 AM EST on Oct 17th.......scary huh?

It should still be an entertaining World Series. As an avid baseball fan, I'm looking forward to watching it.

I cant say that Tampa didn't earn the win. The Sox had EVERY opportunity to win that game but when JD Drew struck out swinging I knew that was it.

Anyway, this WS between Philly and TB is going to be one of the worst rated ever on tv. Mark my words.

Exactly. Those will be the only two cities which will care at all about this WS.
