New Ghost recon, who getting it

So what of you old ELH and even further back Steiner guys plan on getting the new Ghost recon about to come out in a few weeks. Wondering if its worth getting.

I still have GR1 installed w/a bunch of 151st mods.

I will wait to play the demo before I make any decision whether or not to buy. I'll also read the reviews first and see what the major magazines have to say about the game before I make my decision

This is one title I will be giving my attention. If it comes even close to GR-1 I will probably purchase it.

Deja Vu anyone?

I remember this situation last year, GR2 was released for Consoles first, to be followed by the PC version in the Summer. Then the PC version was pushed back to December and then ultimately cancelled.

I swear, if they do this again with GR3, I will have serious reservations about buying another UBIsoft title. If they screw this one up, I am ready to write off the series and stick with OFP.

Have to say I agree with you there, Softball. Much as I am very keen to get my hands on an up to date version of GR, if they do that again, I'll turn away and look elsewhere.

The million dollar question has to be 'Why screw us over?'. WIth GR2 they did themselves out of considerable revenue, as the GR community is pretty extensive. If they bin GR3 for the PC, it'd be a huge slap in the face to PC gamers (although not an unentirely surprising one, given the track record)

The end all be all for me will be the demo. I'll try the demo out and if I smell too much "consolization" and dumbing down then I will not be buying the full game.

I think it must at least be worth checking out the various forums too, see what the rest of the community as a whole think about it. true, Moose, I can't see them being stupid enough to screw us over a second time considering the money they lost out on, but you never know!

You got to remember, all the GR2 info said it SUCKED. Especialy on pc, so hye they got smart about it never released it. As for this one, its highley hipoed, especialy for the PC market. So hye I don't see them cancling them out on us. But I to will be checking the demo first
