Last night I took-up invite to step back onto the ice, with our Corps team. My first time holding a stick in anger since Canada. And a great feeling, but it was a bit of a bambi moment too, at least in my mind anyway.
First stride down the ice with a puck, one on one with the goalie - I recognised the smile in the mask! Matt Regan, a hockey mate and work colleague from Canada. He played goalie for our sister team, and even as I lifted the puck I felt right back at home again. Definitely a good feeling!

Nice one mate...you score?
I know the feeling though...my rugby 'career' has been somewhat up and down of late. Currently trying to shift about 2 stone atm to get back down to fighting weight, and get back in the gym to get fit for next season. It's always a good feeling to get back on the pitch/ice/ whatever, and get back into the swing of doing something you enjoy......plus there's the fights!!
