Has anyone seen this black&white British film where Alec Guiness plays 8 different characters? I've only watched about half of the film so far but I absolutely love it. I've laughed out loud a couple of times and I must admit that the storyline is really interesting. The movie started off a little bit slow but it definitely caught on after the first murder.

I've always liked Alec Guiness but I had no idea he could be so versatile in his performances. I guess I would describe the film so far as a "black comedy".

Yes, he's def a quality actor. I'm partial to watching the odd piece he's done occasionally.
I was raised in that satirical humour era - Ken Dodd and The Diddy Men, The Holy Grail series and The Flying Circus stuff. I guess material like BlackAdder is a natural follow-on too. Unfortunately a lot of it is lost on the wife, being as she is almost 10 yrs my junior it's not quite her thing.
