You should be able to find something to do with the episode on the net, eh? It's Harm's first or second prpoer field agent mission for CIA after he leaves JAG - he is piloting the Aurora, and they experience engine troubles during an overflight of North Korea, after their training mission becomes upgraded mid-flight to a scenario critical operational mission.
Imagine the drawings you have seen plastered around the web, enlarge the size of the wings, reduce the size of the whole nose section, add two small vertical stabilisers, and turn the wings edges downward. Something like that! :lol:
And, yes, it probably IS a load of old bung. But the Aurora project has never been proven has it? Or the fruition of the Aurora project anyway.

There's no doubt Aurora was a classified "black" program in the aviation world. There's also little chance there was an actual vehicle named Aurora. The CIA's Blackbird program was called "Ox Cart", for example.

The consensus I've heard is that it was a super-expensive UAV to replace the SR-71 that was cancelled due to cost overruns. The Darkstar and Global Hawk UAVs were built to replace it. This recent talk of the "Blackstar" program is another that could also have replaced it.

Using a little artisitc licencing, it is easy enough to get an idea of the intent of these programs by elaborating on the program names somewhat. Anything coming out of the Skunkworks inevitably has the CIA stamped all over it, although not an absolute rule.

Really? What does that analysis get out of Ox Cart???

Ox cart - well an ox cart is a carrier. So looking at Blackbird, it was a carrier of high def surveillance equipment. Ox carts are quite common, and certainly were in those days in the Soviet Union and satellite countries for carrying market loads and so on. They could wander along most any street in that environment, totally inconspiciously. Of course you could also add they could be looked at a symbol of secret hidden loads as you have seen on many films where the good guy hides in the cart full of hay to avoid detection by the opposing forces (eg. Germans looking for an escaped POW)

Or, it could be that the names are actually just chosen at random. ;)
