I just wanted to share this in case some you weren't aware of this show. It's called "Profiles From the Front Line", and it's a six-episode documentary (on the events in Afghanistan follwwing 9/11) miniseries premiering tonight on ABC. Check your TV schedule for times.

--"US soldiers are the stars of the series, which takes you with them on a tour of duty in Afghanistan and shows you what their lives were like in the months following 9/11."

Not too bad

I watched the show. Not too bad I have to say.

They showed various aspects of the fight on terrorsim. The showed some Special Forces soldiers (who had full on facial hair to look like the locals) on a search for Taliban soldiers. They were driving to the target villiage and they were held up in traffic in the middile of this small town, and were VERY paranoid about a possible ambush. Some of the SF guys jumped out of the vehicles and prompted the traffic to move along so they could get through. Why they went through the middle of that traffic mess I don't know, but it was a tense moment. I was thinking they might get attacked while they were driving through. There were lots of places the bad guys could hide for an ambush.

Another segment they showed was a CPL who was responsible for refueling Apaches and CH47s. They were some busy guys out there, lots of helos coming and going.

The next thing they showed was a Destroyer in the Arabic Sea and their crew who boarded and searched transport vessles for contraband to and from IRAQ. Pretty cool.

The last segment they showed was a catapult launch crew from a Carrier in the Arabic Sea. Mainly basic stuff about their duties and responsibilities on the Carrier deck.

I liked the show, and I will definately be watching it again. Very patriotic IMO.
