The next season is set to start in October 06 according to the fan sites. The wait is dreadful that's for sure. Hopefully I'll get more info at the Comic Con International next week on this.

I am watching the whole new series on DVD from beginning to Season 2.0. There are some parts and things I missed, so it's worth watching it again.

Yup, for whatever reason they pushed back the series to the fall instead of the summer.

Found this info on TV.com:

Returning to its Friday night slot with a complete 20-episode order, season three of Battlestar Galactica
promises even more of the drama, intrigue and action that viewers have
come to expect from the series. One of television's most critically
acclaimed dramas, Battlestar Galactica has captured the minds
of a new generation of fans, distinguishing itself with the intensity
and present-day relevance of its stories and the riveting performances
of its ensemble cast.

The entire Battlestar Galactica
ensemble will return, including Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell,
Katee Sackhoff, Jamie Bamber, James Callis, Tricia Helfer and Grace
Park. As previously announced, Lucy Lawless will also join the cast for
a 10-episode arc, reprising her role as D'Anna Biers, a Cylon.

Production on season three begins in Vancouver in April.

I saw on one of the video Blogs for BSG, that the actress who plays "Starbuck" (Katee Sackhoff) is possibly pregnant. Though she didn't say it directly, she was saying she was going to start getting fat, and that she didn't know how much of Season 3 she would be part of. :\

Oh and not to rub it in or anything, look what I get to see at Comic Con:

Friday - 2:00-3:00 SCI FI: Battlestar Galactica— "The #1 television show of 2005"—Time magazine. "One of the most original and provocative programs on television"—New York Times. "The toughest, smartest show on television"—Rolling Stone. “A wildly intense gem . . . riveting . . . not to be missed"—TV Guide. If you’re not watching it, you should be. See what the buzz is all about. Be sure to stop by the SCI FI booth for a chance to win the ultimate BSG prize packet! Panelists include stars Edward James Olmos (Admiral William Adama), Mary McDonnell (Laura Roslin), James Callis (President Gaius Baltar), and Lucy Lawless (D’Anna Biers), plus executive producers David Eick and Ronald D. Moore and SCI FI VP for original programming Erik Storey. Moderated by Lisa Chambers, features director, TV Guide. Room 20

There's also supposed to be a new spinoff series, a prequel of sorts, called 'Caprica', set before the Cylons rebelled.

Videos of the BSG panel at Comic Con 2006. Not my videos, and not the greatest quality, but it's what I saw.

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Part 5
