It's offical! I am happy to announce that I will be going to school starting in September 06, to get my Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Security. I will be attending ITT Technical Institute in San Diego, the degree program I am taking is a 3 year, 9 month course. I am hoping this will open new doors in my working future.

I have been contemplating this for a couple years, and finally decided that if I want to advance my career, lifestyle, make more money, etc.. , this is what I need to do. I will be going to school full time at night, M T W during the week.(12 credit hours, 3 classes per quarter). With this workload and homework, this will limit my gaming time online. I will still try and make it for Friday nights, but I won't make any promises.

I already have about (2) years of college from taking Criminal Justice classes from 1987 to 1996, at a couple of local community colleges here in San Diego. Sadly, in 1996 I decided not to pursue a career in Law Enforcement and have been in Limbo ever since (10 years). There were too many hoops I had to jump through to get where I wanted in Law Enforcement, and I was just spinning my wheels not making any progress. Yes, it would have been great to get into, but I decided to pursue other options. I guess you could say I wasted 9-10 years of my life trying to get into Law Enforcement.

So there you have it, I am back in school. Wish me luck. Lol!

I did that thing 10 years ago (ok, 11) and I just can't picture going back to it! :shock:
If I ever do go for more classes, it will be online, at-my-own-time-of-choosing types. I'm just too tired after work to have to think...damn early-rising USAF...

Congrats Softball. I wish you luck but I must say you have a better grasp of Information Systems than the average person that will be in your class man so breeze thru it and be the best.

After my cllage (99 - 03), I just wanted to get out and work. But found crap for jobs and such, and all wanting universitys and such. Only took me 1 year to sign up to go back and get my batolers degree (only finished this past spring). but I got lucky, the university I went to had a agrement with the collage that my collage was worth 2 years of university. So only had to do 2 years university to get a batolers with honors in compur science technology. but trust me, you well never regret it AFTER you are done. during the school, trust me you well thinking at 5 am, DOH DOH DOG due in 3 hr's . but after It makes a diffrence. I am now at apple computer for a short contract then, I got companeys interested in me on north eastern US. But trust me, you well not regreat it.

But depending on the classess, you may find that you an't got much game time. You can ask buff, Hondo, Tach and da da da, when university hit I went missing for 8 months tell the next summer. Sucks, but hey, its worth it in the end as then you can buy that OMG to game on later
