Here are some views, prolly from the spotters scope of sniper shots in Afganistan. I an not sure exactly how this video was captured but it shows the destructive power of a .50 round out past 1000 yards.

That about sums it up, I guess. Sometime ago I saw a movie with Leonardo DiCaprio in it, a western where this guy was hunting down some outlaws (Leo was one of them) and he used something similar to the .50 caliber rifle, the guy he shot in the face it exploded but it was so quick you really couldn't see it and hell what about Quigley Down under, damn shame they didn't show the real graphic stuff behind, just guys being blown off there horse.
