Space 1999

Could the British give it up and let us start watching Space 1999 again ? Once in awhile I’ll e-mail the SciFi channel and ask them to play the series. So far they haven’t replied. Mean time I’ve been wanting to buy me one of those Eagle transporter model kits. That looks like it would be fun to build and than add on a coat of paint. Probably the best place to get one would be off the internet , but I’ll shop around at the local stores first.

I used to watch that show when I was about 5 years old and I loved it! That had Martin Landau in it right?

i used to have a die cast model of that ship complete with droppable cargo pod thingies..

i think i took it apart and lost some of the parts when i was 10 or so lol. ( stupid kids!)

i still have apart of it in a box out in the garrage.

i also know that that model has been used in other scifi movies and varients of it as well.

Care to sell it? I’ve been shopping around for one the internet and there not cheap. The one I want is about 12 inches long and comes in a model box ready for assembly and paint. I really don’t care for the decals though because they could bubble or peal after awhile. Maybe Buffalo Six would know more about that. I was thinking that I could get out a magnifying glass and paint the finer detail where the stickers would normally go.

I was hoping to get one for around $20 American , but it looks more like $40 plus another $10 for S&H. Time to start saving my lunch money. : )

After watching the Intro around 10 times I cant get the theme out of my head. Yes ! It still Rocks ! :D I was also considering buying the DVD combo pack. It could be the only way I’ll watch the series again. Below is the model I’d like to have.
