Was looking for a Xmas gift for my dad and ran across this little game.

Its a NRA Highpower sim. You can shoot service rifle, match rifle, LR, F-class, Plama. 3 national courses, Whittington, Spring Hill, and some place in Oregon. There are 2 different types of matches, Long range (600-1000 yards) and XTC (across the course) which are a combo of slow fire and rapid fire at 200, 300, 600 yards. The rapid fire strings are time at 60 and 70 secs.

Sounds easy right. Only F-Class uses magnified optics, everything else is iron sights. Doping the wind becomes the critical factor. Remember, at 1000 yards, a 5 mph wind shift can move 3 feet off target, meaning you missed the scoring rings and get no score for that shot. Did I mention that in most matches you get only 2 sight-in shots? Screwing around last night, in a 600 yard match, it took me about 8 shots to get on paper, out of a 10 shot string. ouch man.

They seem to use all the ballistic data from the major ammo producers, and you can even set up custom hand loads to tweek your patterns.

There is a multiplayer matchup included but I have not even looked at it.

I just thought it was a neat little game for $9.99
