I upgraded to this video card and installed it today. I can say with certainty that GRAW runs significantly faster now compared to when I had the X800 Pro. The picture quality is also essentially the same. My eyes could not tell the difference. I also tested the card with IL-2 and FEAR and my frame rates in those games seemed to be the same as before or maybe slightly faster. I decided to get a better AGP card for now instead of doing the total pc upgrade. I'll wait until next year some time to do that.

Wow, they have a 7800 AGP card? I'm surprised they are not all PCI-X. Congrats on the new card.

that would be pci-e... pci-x is a different technology.

I would like to join the mutual congratulatory fan of us club...my wife is awesome too. She fronted my night on the town with Brother in law...we went into the North End for dinner and saw the Bruins (never been to a pro hockey game before and club seats no less).

Wow, that was very nice of her! I've only been to one hockey game but I didn't really care for it much. Did the Bruins at least win?

Well, in addition to GRAW running much faster I also tested the card with Doom 3 and that game was definitely faster. That was expected though since the Doom 3 engine was programmed specifically for Nvidia cards.
