Thanks Buff.

Update.
looks like the meds are wearing off and he starting to sound and act more and more like his old self. from what i was told, 10% of the population will have a seisure at one time or other in thier life, the way he said it was, that everyone gets one free. only 1% of those who have them will have them on a consistant basis. like epolepsy. If Justin can go 2 years without another seisure then he will most likly never have one again. since his seisure was so prolonged ( around 7 hours duration) and hit so hard and settled on the left side. they were concerned that it may reoccure. from what i understand the brain can retain a memory of the siesure and they can be prone to do the same thing in the same spot. its sorta like the same thing as you try to remember something, "practice makes perfect" etc. same principal.

my oldest also has hypo thyroidism. its where the thyroid gland dosnt produce enough chemical. the thyroid chemical helps with other chemical reactions in the body. he was born with this but normalized when he was around 6. the wife and i have kept a close eye on him to look for the symptoms to reappear. he actualy has been more active over the last 2 months. a person who has hypo thyroidism is more prone to be lethargic and not very active. so it was a suprise to find that it has returned as well. the thyroid did NOT have anything to do with the siezures and is just something secondary we found out about while doing the tests.

as of now he is doing good. he is outside playing with his friends and furstrated while he has his short leash :)

doernbecher hospital is one of the best in oregon, in fact ppl all over the world go there to train, i am extremly lucky of their care for my son. if you know someone who is tihnking of the medical field this would be the place to go. www.ohsudoernbecher.com/ not only was their medical care great. but they help us make this thing barable and more importantly understandable for me and my wife.
