I still need to get a sound card, Wireless mouse and KB, and Windows XP Pro OS for it. She is also getting a new computer desk and chair. The last time I upgraded her PC she, got my old parts. She wanted all new stuff this time around. I think her computer will be a bit faster than mine, but that's ok, she deserves it.

Yes, I have a 550 watt PS which I'll be installing when the parts arrive.

Well, I did my big upgrade this weekend and I'm simply floored by the performance I'm now getting in my games. The upgrade was certainly worth it. Oh, and I also love the heatsink design for the Intel Core Duo CPU's. It was very easy to install.

The one shocker for me was the size of the Nvidia 8800 GTS card. Man, that thing is huge and heavy.


I went from an Athlon 64, 1 gig of ram and an Nvidia 7800gs to an Intel Core Duo E6600 (2.4 ghz 4mb cache), 2 gigs of DDR2 ram and an Nvidia 8800 GTS.
