what else can you run on that?

how does it do 3d acceleration? does it allow the game to talk to the hardware directly?

what video card is in it?

Right now it's a more or less 1 for 1 OpenGL translation as I understand it...

Lots of OpenGL games are working in the beta at the moment. I had to turn off 'Use Vertex Arrays' in IL-2 to not get a black screen, but barring that it seems to work great.

Unreal Tournament 2003 works, 2004 doesn't yet, Quake 1 GL, 2, 3, and 4 all work, Descent 3, Haf Life, Serious Sam, and lots of people have been getting games working that aren't on their supported list yet (like me with IL-2). They are supposed to be getting Doom 3 engine games working, and lots of others that aren't quite working yet. I think they know what most of the problems/limitations are, and are cleaning them up as fast as they can. It is a beta, so it's not done yet.

No Direct3D yet either, but I think it is in their plan to make that work at least some degree in the next release and go from there.

This Mac has a 256MB ATI X1600 Mobility card, but it emulate a proprietary 32MB card at the moment... You can see from the screen shot it gets avg 30 fps, which plays very smooth. I don't notice any stutters or pauses whatsoever. Next time we play IL-2 I inted to use this, now that I have Ventrilo working as well. That is with the graphics set to Excellent.

The one screen shot has fraps running, but it doesn't actually work; it displays everything using D3D best I can tell, which isn't implemented, so it plays along, but doesn't do much...

It works full screen as well; that just wouldn't have been as interesting a screen shot is all PDT_Armataz_01_12
