Ok this guys "GuteHundin" came on coms sat afternoon flopping between channels. He hit the COH chanal and proceaded to call us gay and all this other crap. I was on but kept my mouth shut, Hondo and Tach are on to but are not at the pc so missed it.
Madus in the WoW group also had a run in with him and came up to talk to me about it. He said that the guy came in and first words where "Whats up Niggers". He kept up the attitude and rather undesired behavior even tho the 2 in that channel told him it was not approperate. Madus asked me to ask you to ban him if I saw you, and in all honesty by the time he asked I already had the guys name typed out so I could myself. To me he even sounded like he had one to many just to make things more fun, no idea who he really is and ya not worth finding out.

It’s nice to talk to computer illiterate people. Because they have no clue what their computer system is doing.

So tonight we ( me and some friends) went to this guys house 30 miles away towards LA… I don’t know these people, just a friend of a friend. After awhile …. we came to the computer room and guess what, =p … I had something to say about it.


They gave up the Captions chair and I sat down ( cracks knuckles) I spruced up his computer a bit with a quick fix. In {msconfig} I explained all the extra stuff I was taking off his load up. , and also what he really needs to do to make his computer fly! I complemented him on his late model Dell computer tho. They make a good machines.-- In the end ,…….. he was happy with the faster load up, And he gave me an extra stick of 256DDR ram to take home. I could use it too. Cool beans.


I said I would be back with some more computer goods , but who knows when that will ever happen..... Sooner than later I expect. =P

I have talked to Steel about this and he is going to check a few things and then we can pull out the ban stick........

its just this idiot 12 year old.....we can hit him with a IP ban, Steel just needs to talk to a few people to get the scoop. Other than this kid, the WoW guys are pretty quite and dont bother anyone

No, I think someone used an old thread to point out the guy we had a problem with last night....I sent you an PM on what I think his name was (he used several) last night. I cant remember but does vent have a IP ban?

I'm curious as to how they get the PW to the Vent server in the first place. Are they hacking to get into the server or something?

no...I'm sure they were invited in by the other WoW guys, just like we do at times with friends in CoH, but we tend to only play with adults and not kids....which WoW seems to be full of

He changed his name several times last night. He was Bakulia (or something like that), then Lilfocker, then Xen, then OMG_RLY!? and possibly others. Not sure how all that works.

The thing that really pisses me off is we have a few women that play CoH with us and he has creeped them out with heavy breathing and saying stuff...

This guy came into the server during our weekly race last night. We had to abandon Ventrilo at that point. Banning on username is useless since there is no user authentication. Banning by ip would be difficult as Steel would have to be on at the same time in order to find out which ip he came from, unless Vent logs it somewhere. Not to mention, getting another ip from his ip isn't too difficult. Changing passwords would probably be easiest and most effective to be honest. I'll see if one of my race members remembers this guy's username, I'm not sure if Ventrilo server logs enough info.

ventrilo logs it...and i believe you get the option to ban by ip when you are logged in as admin... someone can test to see, or maybe i can check it out tonoght.

if nothing else we will have to change the password.

Just PW (Same new PW for all channels to eliminate confusion) all of the channels except the Lobby (main) and WoW channel. Problem fixed.
