it's still mostly true, just that the original letter writer is not the famous actress.

believe me, i know all too well how true it is - supported myself and my family on that pay for 9 years...

I also know whats it like to see that little money, to me I think whoever wrote that article looked at the large sum increase and not the individual increase according to rank time in grade and such. If I rememeber correctly the United States has the 3rd or 4th largest standing military service in the world and can double in size in a matter of a year if the draft was reinstated, yes the big picture would look astronomical but on the individual level its out right appauling.

So I say to you would be activist being outspoken on what is the correct pay for service men and women "IF IT WERE YOUR CHILD COULD YOU PUT A PRICE TAG ON THERE LIFE!?!"

I know I will receive alot of flak here for this but I support the troops and hope that our victory is swift decisive and absolute but I do not support this war nor Bush's claim to be doing the right thing. There are other threats that must be paid attention to and we refuse to give the proper attention to the right problems at the right time. In a nutshell this is Bad Mojo and I hope our children and children do not have to pay for what we thought was right.
