Years ago, right at the Dawn of the 70s, my sister, great chef that she is, a veritable Queen of the Hamburger Helper, bought some Corn on the Cob... in a Can. I don't remember the brand name, and I've not seen Corn on the Cob in a Can since.

In newfoundland where corn don't grow, you almost never see anything even resembling fresh corn on a cob. Most corn there is caned, and there is even corn on a cob in can. Now if you had never really had fresh real corn you don't know the difference so to me it was good. Cane to Ontario where had the corn in the pot 2 hours after it was picked and ya then you can never go back to the corn on a cob in a can.
