I found this review for the new 9800GTX
http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/xfx_9800gtx/
By the looks of the results it's not got a major increase over the 8800 GTX but if your upgrading to a new card the prices for the 9800GTX are exactly the same as a 8800GTS! Over here anyway, at £200 or $400 so it would be the one to go for and i think that performance would be increased with better drivers in a month or 2 anyway so it looks like i might have something to sway my Monitor upgrade.
So the review is basically the same as the one Veg put up earlier.

9800 here are 60$ more then the GTS. Basiclay they are the 8800gts clocked a little more but hell my GTS are factory overclocked so they relay get little over the GTS. Basiclay if you are buying just 1 card get the 9800GTX. Notre this summer there are to be some nice toys on the way.
Also make sure the 8800GTS card you get it the G92 version, else its a G80 version and this info don't apply.

thats the EVGa versions and man thats funny the GTS is overclocked form factorey to 670mhz the 9800GTX is clocked at 675mhz, wooooo 5mhz cots 60$ lol
Here is a newegg side by side comparison, hope link works for you. Also shows the memory clock is a little faster but again keep hearing the clock on the 8800GTS is easily overclockable as well but then no warrenty right. Only other diffrence is the 9800 has OpenGL 2.1 while GTs is 2.0 only. Not sure how much of a big deal thats going to be int he end.

If you are buying a new card this is the sucker t get, but if you have other 8800 cards its not worth getting this as a upgrade path is what it boils down to. the performance of this one over the GTS and the GTX is minimal but it is there.

Well at the place i usually get my bits they have the 9800GTX the 8800GTS and the 8800GTX all in the exact same price bracket in fact the XFX 8800GTX is cheaper than most other makes of the other 2 models mentioned.

ya odd, here its a extra 60$ over the GTS and on par with most GTX card prices. If someone getting 1 card right now thats it. if someone going sli here then the GTS lower price point looks better lol but over there since prices even its the one to get man.
O and as for better drivers note better drivers for this will also be better got the GTS so yes the performance will go up but so will the GTS as same chipset.
