Cleaning the AL2223W Acer Monitor

Okay, I've looked pretty much everywhere I can think of, but Acer doesn't specify what to use to clean the monitor. The directions say not to directly spray the detergent on the monitor, but there is no precautions as to what type of detergent. I know a few of you own this monitor, what do you use to clean it?

a very soft cloth ... if it's more than just dusty, I'm not sure what to tell you.

yah yeah. I know Tach. But I was hoping that those who actually tell me what they use, a product that they swear by. I don't want to go an just apply any cleanser to my screen. :-)

i have a 40" LCD HD TV and all i use is a soft Lint free "Damp" cloth. The Dampness is caused by plain old water. Just make sure it's only damp though, not wet enough to cause drips or such and this is what Samsung recommend to clean My TV.

Does the trick lovely even on smudges, Have a dry lint free cloth handy to shine it up after as well. PDT_Armataz_01_12

As an after thought just to let you know my TV has a Hi-Gloss surround finish on it and as above it buffs up a treat with damp cloth and then dry cloth.

go to "Sunglass Hut" or something similar in the mall near you....ask of a mico-fiber cleaning cloth. They come in small and Large. These are the only things I'll use on my Oakleys

mico-fiber cloths are HOW TO CLEAN IT. for dusting and minor spots (stop sneezing at the monitor) that will take everything off when iuts dry. If needed make the fiber cloth damp and thats it. BE EXTREMLY careful of any chemical as they can destroy the thing. I remember back in university a janitor started to clean the brand new LCD monitors with the glass cleaner for CRT monitors, um ya after the first row the person got to see the effects on the screens, BAD.

Ok will do. I think I might even have some micro fiber cloths lying around.
