I'm sorry to hear that Buff. That's ridiculous that no one can be there til Friday.
Having no A/C for 2 days in South Florida is pretty much a death sentence.

Move the fridge beside the PC and keep the door open, problem solved.
That Tornado warning sounds really serious hope all you Tornado alley type don't get hit.
But on a serious note about the A/C i come from Scotland where the thought of actually wanting to make it any colder is enough to get you commited.
But i guess it is a real necessity where you are Buff, cant believe it would take that long to get someone out to fix it.

Wait for a tornado to blow in, that’ll cool things down a bit.

I bought a portable A/C from Home Depot for $200, best $200 I ever spent. No more hot Summers while gaming on the PC.
Sorry to hear about your A/C Buff. The good news (if there is any) is that Friday is only 1 more day to wait.

for those that don't know, softballs house dose not have AC and he is in California.
And up we JUST turned the AC on in my parents place yesterday. Sopose to get up to 80 tomorrow here. And I can hear Buff mumbling under his breath something about hating me right now wishing he had 80 degrees there.

If my electric bills were as high as Softball's I think I would just buy lots of fans. LOL

Man Buff, I feel for ya, I remember being in Oklahoma and having my AC go out. It's no fun. However, had frost in my yard this morning and expecting a high of 60 today. Think low was like 31 or so.
Hope you get your AC going soon.

Panzer, pushing around hot air really fast gives you a hot breeze. A/C is the only way to go, I think. LOL.

so If I read that right you are going to get lots of rain, passable tornado's and o something like 100% humidity. So um to sum it all up its a possibility of a shitty night

Heh, so yea, we have been doing the "lots of fans" method for the last 8 years. We finally found a good deal on a portable A/C so we took the leap. We usually only run the A/C for about 15 minutes, that's usually enough time to cool the room for a good hour or so. We use a shop fan (heavy duty, high speed) to circulate the cool air faster around the room. Hopefully our electric bill won't get too outrageous with the A/C, it's only pulling 6 - 7 AMPS which is about 1/2 the wattage of our dryer. Even if the bill is higher, having cold air while gaming is worth it.
