Well We dodged a bullet here.....If you look at the picture....where it says Derby (Wichita is just north of there at the top of the screen) is where I used to live and it is where my dad and brother both live....thats a hookecho just to the west of Derby and it was on the ground about a mile west of the Derby city limits but it picked up and then dropped on the other side to the east...and is still on the ground as I type this.....



I can breath a big sigh of relief, because I was preparing to have to extract family members from broken homes.

Last night Chapman KS got flattened, and my alma matter Kansas State Univ. got creamed. In fact the tornado in Manhattan KS took a path very near my old Frat house....

it was actually a 3 sided cast-in-place concrete closet with a concrete cap and a hvy duty steel door.....but honestly that about as close as you an get to havign a tornado without actually havign a tornado
