Ebay A** holes

After watching my Auction for my converted camper van for just under a week the Auction finished tonight with a reasonable ending price that i was expecting.

Now i had put Large type warnings on the Auction saying "if you aren't goingt to buy don't bid, i will report you to Ebay" and "25% Paypal payment required immediately after auction end" "NO TIME WASTERS!"

Well guess what happens. The winning bidder sends me a message right after the end of auction saying he can't complete the sale as "something came up!" Yes i bet it did the fact that you had to pay what you bid came up!.

Total and complete W****R, wasted my time, ruined my auction and now i am going to be short the cash i was getting from it and was actually needing.

Yes i know i can put out a second chance offer and have done this, but this offer hasn't been taken up and times a wasting.

Me! I'm really pissed off!

Nem, I run a "very" small business on eBay. Report the would-be buyer to eBay and they should allow you to relist the item for free. Warning, however, that the process can take a while.

Can you sell it to the 2nd highest bidder by chance? I have never sold on Ebay only purchased, so I'm not sure how that works.

I'm sorry to hear about that Nemisis. Some people out there can be real pricks.

I have to admit I have made the mistake of bidding on the wrong item, but as soon as it happened I contacted ebay and they removed me from the list. But this unless the guy was just snipping last second then he should be held somewhat accountable.

He can offer to the second highest bidder, but there is no guarantee that the second highest will agree to buy. If that is the case, his best option is to file a grievance with eBay and then they should allow him to relist.

Well i had to go and offer it to the third highest bidder to get the sale and will be handing the keys over tomorrow, but still lost out on what the highest bid was.

I am still going to report the guy for failing to complete, he put his bid in about 2 hours before the auction ended so had plenty of time to thnk about what he was doing and he could have retracted his bidbefore auction end but only contacted me after auction ended, he obviously thought he would get outbid before it ended and was just passing the time.

Timewasters really piss me off. It really annoys me when people just don't think about what they are doing.
