I freaking hate working in groups in a school environment; I was ready to punch one of my group members in the face last night.

You see, each week we have an in class group project or assignment. So, whatever we do in the class, someone in the group has to write a report on what we did during the assignment and turn it in the next week. Well, a couple of weeks ago, it was another group member's turn to write the report. I had asked him if he had turned in the homework and he said "yes". I took his word for it and assumed he did. Two weeks later I we get our grade reports and for the assignment in question, I was given a Zero / F grade. I asked the teacher what was up with the grade, and she told me that nothing was turned in. WTF!? I went to the group member that was supposed to turn in the report and he said he turned in the wrong paper. OMG! He had done the report (He showed it to me last night), but turned in the wrong assignment. I then asked the teacher if we could still turn in the assignment for a grade and she said yes, but we would have a 50% deduction on the grade for it being late. I guess a 50 is better than a 0, but I am still freaking pissed off about it. I have a nearly perfect grade in the class, and now this BS happens. Grrrr!!

I had very specific people I work in grousp with in university. Friend I had in college since day 1 and worked with since day 1, we also went to university together and same thing. I could trust him to do work and viceversa. But had some groups where you assign somthing to someone a week alter ask it to add to the assignment they say O sorry forgot. Um it 10 at night stuff due at 8 am, and I pull a all nighter to get another persons work done. On at least 2 occasions Myself and another group member submitted work without the 3rd guys name on it. Both casess person was pissed but I could care less no work screw you lol

I thought a "collage" was a combination of different colors and patterns that are either painted or drawn on the same surface? PDT_Armataz_01_12

Amen!

I think it's absurd what has happened to CA State employees, and with the economy and gas prices the way they are, OMG! No Fkin way. I watched some interview on the news about the pay cuts, and some employees at the CA DMV went from $14 an hour to $6.55 an hour. How the hell can ANYONE survive on that? That's a wage from the early 1990s. Apparently the federal wage rate doesn't correspond with inflation and the failing economy.

Well you see, that's what caused the crisis in the first place! A slowing national economy plus inflation plus government over-spending.

Allot of it has do with Ethnic competition. So many Mexican workers come here and want to work longer hours with less pay. Well ,... after several years they got their wish. Now you'll see more Mexicans working at several places here in Ca. It's a Sign of the times.

It started small... like picking strawberries and washing cars. Nowadays , it's up to Hotel Management , Restaurant Management , working at the DMV. Oh , and if your into customer relations , you'll need to speak two languages and be Bilingual to get the job.

So why should employers pay more for the natives here when you can get more for less by employing Mexicans? I know it's not very American , but there's allot of employers out there trying to make a buck nowadays , and although it might seem unfair to the rest , there's not really much that can be done about it. Literally.

I think Mexico screwed up California in several ways. So many gangs , so many cop killers in MS13 , so many in prison or collecting welfare that we all pay for out of our paychecks , " that we need to compete for in the first place." So many Diseases brought across the border we haven't seen in years. Free health care to another unknown name with no SS# . Several hospitals closing down with a spike in health insurance. It's like were paying in so many ways to support them that , it actually broke our economy. Now we need to live with it.
