New Game
Don't know if anyone is interested in it, however, got Warhammer Online this weekend. Been trying to find something to play for awhile now, got burned out on GW and DDO, was even desperate enough gave COH another whirl, just couldn't get into it. I enjoyed AoC, but too buggy, laggy, and other problems for me.
I was a little leery of Warhammer for a couple reasons. First, It's pushes the RvR and second was the fact that Mythica was making it and they are part of EA. However, decided to get anyway, I've had a blast so far. All the lastest MMO's keep seeming to get the complaint that they are released as an unfinished product. Well, in my opinion, Warhammer is a complete game. I played some long hours this weekend and found the servers stable with hardly any lag, only time really experienced was moving from one zone to another. There are no zone lines but could tell where they were. I was shocked at the number of quest, still at low level so not sure about high lvl content. The game looks good and the atmosphere is great. They have public quest which anyone can join and leave at will, and you get credit for doing a little in them. You can get nice rewards from gaining the influence in the public quest. Once I moved into the next map, didn't seem to be as many people, but did manage to find a group doing PQ's in it. So the PVE aspect of it seems to be well rounded and enjoyable.
Here's the shocking part for me. I've never enjoyed PVP at all, in GW did like once or twice and never did again. Well, I figured wth, I'd try the RvR battles so I could say okay, won't be doing that again. I got done and it's like wow, when's the next start. The RvR battles are crazy, there's no communication in the party (bad thing), and not sure how the groups get put together they seem to be very random (had several groups with no healers in my party and only 1 on the whole team, needless to say we got stomped). It was still surprising with no communication the team would seem to figure out what to do and work together as a team. If you are very low level, say rank 1, your rank is adjusted to 8 so you can participate in the battle. It was mayhem, but a wonderful crazy mayhem.
So, if you are looking for something to try, I would recommend Warhammer.

Im getting Warhammer Onlne as soon as I can come up with the cash. I'll be playing on the Skavenblight server as Chaos; I have a few friends there and I want to join up with them. I'm gonna play as an Ork of some kind, they look fun and humorous to play. Maybe next payday I'll pick it up.
I'm still playing AoC, but the server populations are slowly dwindling down.

Yep, Softball has the link, unfortunately, I'm on Grimnir as Order. Still having a blast, never thought I'd enjoy the PvP aspect. Went and capture forts tonight. Also have done more of the Public Quests you can get nice rewards from them. I guess I could play Skavenblight also. Might have to think on that. On a server all your toons have to be Order or Chaos, you get 10 per server which is cool, cause there are a lot of servers. I've tried all the Order side a little, they all seem to be well rounded, with strengths and weakness.
It hasn't bothered me so far, other than if I want to try a class I have to move to another server, or delete all my characters. Plus, I do like only be Order on the one server, gives me an alliegence to my country type feel. I see the bar almost all red and I want to capture some points so the bar goes blue. Don't know if I'd feel that way as much if I had both Chaos and Order on a server. So, guess I can kinda see it.

Lol!
Nah, I sold my 2002 Pathfinder.
I used to be able to buy a game a month, but that was when my wife was working full time. She is currently working part time, only making about $1000 a month, sometimes less. We are pretty much breaking even with rent, bills, food, and gas every month.
Yea, it sucks, but on a good note, I have some extra work coming up with a company in Los Angeles County. I am helping helping design (engineer) a new and improved Fiber Optic network layout for companies such as Time Warner and Verizon Wireless. I will have the potential for making $1,000-$2,500 per week, working only 2 days a week (Weekends), but it really depends on the size of the job and how fast I can complete the designs (Red-line maps).

She has been looking for specific jobs, and hasn't had any luck. If this extra work Im doing works out like I hope it does, she won't have to work at all.
I picked up Warhammer tonight, so i'll be checking it out tonight or tomorrow.

That's becoming more and more a part of a bygone era unless you make close to six figures. Then again, if there are no kids I dont think any spouse should be staying at home and not working.Silk wrote:It's really nice to able to let the wife stay home, specially if you have kids.

Yeah, it hurts to let the wife stay at home. I do think it helps with the kids, they have their mother available to them. My kids aren't perfect, but I think my wife staying home til the last couple years made a difference. Otherwise, I'd say if you can afford it and no kids, the guy should stay home
