So I watched the 22nd and final episode of "Rome" last night and all I can say is that its been a hell of a ride. What an outstanding show.
LOL, No man! I watched the 2 seasons of Rome over the course of 3 months or so. :-)Buffalo Six wrote:in a day?
My broke ass doesn't have HBO so I had to wait for the dvd's. :-)Buffalo Six wrote:I was making a funny.....
Rome was not watched(built) in a day..............
yes I enjoyed that show when it was on HBO
Well, I dont know how historically accurate the adult Octavian was portrayed in the show but yeah, he certainly had a lot of flaws. IMHO, he wasn't a quarter of the kind of leader and man that Julius Caesar was.Softball wrote:Rome was a FANTASTIC show, Mark Antony was my favorite character. I didn't care for the grown up Gaius Octavian, he was such a panzy.
Yeah, I think that's part of what made Rome such a good show. The characters were not predictable. The young Octavian seemed very smart and ethical but the older Octavian seemed overly harsh and even a bit unstable at times.Softball wrote:Heck, the younger Gaius was a better leader than him. Lol.
Thanks Buff for your penetrating and insightful intellectual contribution to this topic.Buffalo Six wrote:I was really fond of all the hotties running about in toga's
I didn't think she was special in the first season either. Now the slave girl who Pullo ended up in a relationship with, SHE was hot.Jedi Master wrote:Like Polly Walker...in the FIRST season. NOT the 2nd!!
