Not sure if thats worth it to you

Do note thats the last of the 775 socket chips, intel just released there i7 chips which spanks the current generation by a decent amount. Its specs and testing/reviews are out but it will be end of month before you can buy it. I would hope it drives current generation price down a bit if you want to wait and see.

I have a 9450 quad myself and love it, came out about same time the ones you are looking at did, and they are solid toys. But ya unless you got programs that use quad core its not worth it but some games like I believe supreme commander take advantage of quad core but its one of the FEW.

Thanks for that link Veg. I think I'll go ahead and get the one for $25 more. It's worth it.

you will prolly need to flash your bios prior to adding the chip. Or if you can have them send you a new bios chip and just plug it in. I had to do that on my last build as the CPU was way newer than the Mobo and they didnt like each other at 1st

Yeah, I'm going to check which BIOS version I'm currently running and I'll make sure to update it.
