Okay, I'm sure I can go hunting and find the answers, but I thought I would ask here first since I know some of you also follow these shows. Any idea when they're going to start showing the next season of each? Or is there any truth to the fact that they're canceling Stargate Atlantis? Apparently, Stargate Universe is to premier, not sure when though.

Atlantis is over. SG: Universe I think is slated to start this Fall.

Boy Stargate Atlantis seems unfinished if you ask me. No closure. Oh well, as much as I hate to see it go, and as much as I disagree with MGM/Sci-Fi, these things do happen. I won't be watching SGU though. Looks like total crap.

After reviewing the teaser for SGU, I posted the following on Sci-Fi out of sheer disgust:

The promo suggests the show is a cross between Stargate series and Dawson's Creek, a union too horrible to consider unless you're a big time producer thinking dollar signs: "I know, we'll entice the young crowd with a hip teenage angst, and overly complicated relationships in the midst of dangerous and exotic situations!" What a load of garbage. This isn't sci-fi, this is a cash cow to attract Generation Y and Z to watch and revel in their fantasies of rebellion or self-loathing. Please. Based on these promos, I'd rather watch a test pattern because I can already surmise that the scripts for the first season are plagiarized lamentations written with crayon on toilet paper.

However, I know that they will be making 1 or 2 straight to dvd movies for Atlantis just like what was done with Stargate SG1 so those films will probably tie up any loose ends left after the Atlantis tv run was over.

Oh and Grif, I love that statement you emailed to Sci-Fi even though I'm sure its fallen on deaf ears. Ever since NBC bought Sci-Fi its been downhill.
