The re-install dance

Welp, it looks like my main system drive is unrepairable by conventional methods. The drive still works, sort of. But I cannot successfully image the drive with my backup software or with a hardware imaging device. I ran WD diagnostic on the drive from a separate computer and it found multiple unrecoverable sector errors.
So, I will be backing up what I can from the drive and doing the re-install dance onto a new drive. I had this system setup in a hardware RAID 1 configuration and the RAID BIOS said it was functioning properly, but the 2nd drive did not mirror properly, so I don't know what happened. I think what I am going to do is just setup the new drive as a single SATA drive and make periodic backup images of the drive for situations such as this, or I may try using software RAID 1 through WIndows. Hopefully I can get this done by Friday night.
