Apparently Steam is having some serious Halloween sales going on.

I saw that, sadly I have a lot of the games they have on sale, or don't really care to get any of the ones they are offering.

Yes, I have AvP. Played it once...lol. I may revisit it, seeing as I didn't have time to play it while I was in school.

The Co-op Surivor mode is lots of fun. I'm planning on reinstalling it this weekend.

this is a new AvP, right? not the one from several years ago? does it have the same feel to it? can you play marines too?

Yes this is the new one that came out earlier this year. You can play as marines just like the two previous games.

As for the "feel" to the game, there is definitely somewhat of a "consoleized" feel to it but I still found it to be fun. It's DX 11 so it looks amazing and the single player campaigns are pretty interesting.

The Left 5 Dead series (I have both games BTW) is an entertaining, mindless, hack-em-up / shoot-em-up, bundle of FPS goodness. Just think "Zombieland" but as one of the characters in the movie.

I was a bit skeptical when I first bought it, but it turned out to be pretty fun to play, and it's a great game to play as a group. (4 players only though).

It's not everyone's cup of tea, but for the price, it's well worth it.

This pretty much sums up my feelings on the Left 4 Dead games. The humor in the games adds a lot to the enjoyment too.
