So this past weekend I made the switch over to 64 bit Windows and I also upgraded from 2 GB to 4 GB of RAM. I've seen immediate improvements with how fast programs load and how quickly they close. I'm also happy to say that the crashes I was getting in Stalker: Call of Pripyat have gone away!

I've been running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit (8GB DDR-3 RAM) for over a year now, rock solid and very fast.

I just install Windows 7 64-bit on my Dell XPS laptop, and it it DRAMATICALLY faster than it was with Vista Home Premium. Good stuff.
