it was going on 5 years old so it served its time. I just havent gotten motivated to build a new box, which I need to do. Life and Xbox keep getting in the way.

we can fix that easy. throw away the Xbox. ;)

Well what would I play forza 4 on? lol. I know some of yall poopoo console games like this (hell I did too) but its really pretty good. Besides, being able to watch ESPN3 (or the Ocho) or whatever they call their online only live HD content thru my Xbox on my 50 inch plasma works out fine for the ALMS series.

any update on the game guys? is it a keeper? how does it compare to good ole mechawarrior 4? how do you get into drops? how are they arranged? is everyone running around in an atlas?

I'm still Pending but based on what I've heard Hondo say while he was playing it, I'd say MWO is not quite ready for Prime Time in terms of the GUI (no way to adjust settings) and teaming (sounded like it was pretty much random). He seemed to be having fun with it while being somewhat frustrated/disappointed all at the same time. It will be interesting to see what changes are wrought before it goes live.

ok so that pesky NDA means I can't talk to much on here about it. But basically its closed beta, not a polished game. that said, its a very enjoyable game for whats been implemented so far. Lots of polishing needed, but I can see this being a very enjoyable game.

Hey did they start this beta yet? I signed up and all I get is PENDING. I'm not sure if the game is in beta testing and I'm just waiting my turn? Anyone know when the game goes live?

Answer is yes

If you paid for the founders pack you are in beta. That said, there is a decent number of non founders pack peple. every week they let more in. But as you may guess, there is a lot of people wanting in.

Well, unfortunately the game does not appear to support my ATI 3100 graphics card. So no joy for me. I'll look into patching, but I doubt I will find a resolution given the age of my computer. Ah well, it was worth a try. :-(

if an Nvidia 8800 is supported i can send one your way. it is just sitting around in a box.

I am running dual 8800 GS or somthing along those lines. Ie one level below the max 8800 and it works fine for my now going on 5 year old pc.
