Long time

Hey all,

Been busy as Hudson may or may not have told you. Been doing a lot of hiking and then I took a year off to get my ducks in a row and get remarried. And, now I'm training to get back on the trail hiking again. I'm not really playing video games anymore as time really doesn't allow for it, I'm dabbling a bit with Everquest again as I kind of missed that game. But beyond that, I don't even own a computer that could run most games. Still, I miss chatting with you guys and I'll check in on the forums from time to time to talk about media and upcoming games and what not. I got a random email, for example about a new flight sim. Did you guys get this? I think it's related to IL2? Not sure. Anyway, since I can't do anything with it,I thought you guys might be interested. I'll try and pop-on every couple of weeks and say hello.

Good to hear from you Grif. Hudson, Jedi and Panzer have that. I am waiting until I can get my desk and new PC built and will also get into it. There is also Rise of Flight, a WW1 combat flight sim. It is free to play with 2 planes now, and both Jedi and Panzer speak highly of it. I will also be doing some of that. Otherwise people are mostly migrating between MMO's. A few of us are waiting on Mechwarrior Online to go live. I will do free play there. I have been playing a free Steam game called Blacklight Retribution some, same with Battlefield 3. Waiting on Arma 3.

otherwise I have been working hard for the new company to succeed, consulting, some stuff around the new house.

As for me, I'm currently flying Rise of Flight, DCS A-10, Lomac 2.0 and Black Shark. Cliffs of Dover was a big disappointment so I'm holding off on playing that any further until more patches are released. I don't really fly Falcon 4 or Il-2 anymore.

Hey Grif, long time indeed. Congrats on getting re-married! It's good to hear you are doing well and doing something you are passionate about (hiking). My gaming time has dropped significantly; I'm lucky to get online 1 day a week. RL and IT work have been keeping me away from my gaming, but I try to get online when I can. My Summer has been very eventful with Comic Con, playing softball 4 days a week, and working 10-12 hour days. Keeping busy is a good thing, right?

Anywho, good to hear from you Grif. Don't be a stranger and we'll see you around on the forums.

Hey Hammer, is the business yours or are you employed? Softball, you're working too hard man. Got any pics from Comic Con, and when do we get to see them? Some of us can't attend you know.

Is DCS made by the same guys that made LOMAC? Just curious, it looks like their work.

i am employed and it is my business - or at least i own a small part of the company. i am an investor as well as an employee. i run engineering, but not because of my investment. my portion was so small that i was allowed, rather than needed. but it makes a statement to other invenstors that an employee would actually invest.
