Extra-Life (extra-life.org) is a pretty cool charity. I spent a lot of time in hospitals when I was a kid and was lucky enough to have resources to get the treatments and surgery that I needed. This charity can really help kids who don't have those resources.

Please donate if it resonates with you, but I understand we all have unique situations in our "real life" that may make it difficult.

Whether you donate or not, anyone who wants to help me make it though the 24 hours, please let me know and we'll tackle some games together.

Here is the link to my fund-raising page - Gator's Extra-Life Page - and an explanation and more information about my chosen hospital.

Thanks,
B

I'm on a mission to save kids through video games, and I need your help. As someone who has gone through several medical procedures as a kid, I have a soft spot for children facing painful and frightening procedures and treatment.

As a third-generation Gator, I chose to support Shands Hospital for Children at the University of Florida for this drive. Shands treats thousands of children each year, regardless of their family's ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries from accidents to name just a few

On Oct. 20th, 2012, I'll attempt to play an epic 24 hour video game marathon and it's my sincere hope that you'll find it in your heart to support me with a gift that will go directly to Shands Hospital for Children.

Your donation is tax-deductible and ALL PROCEEDS go to help kids.

Last year, Extra Life raised more than 1.2 million dollars to save kids. This year, our goals, just like the needs of these kids, are much, much higher.

I can't do this without your help. Donating online is safe and easy! To make an online donation please click the "Support This Participant" button on this page.

Thank you for caring for our kids!.
