Nice pics man! Looks like FUN! Hehe. Sometimes I miss going to the field, sometimes. (I have some old USMC pics laying around somewhere. I will try and find and share them) Our last memorable trip to the field we were on night patrol, we were on patrol looking for an enemy camp, using NVGs. I was the Platoon SGT, so I got a set of NVGs for myself. The bad thing about NVGs is that they ruin your night vision after you use them.

So, were you guys using live ammo out there? You show pics of 5.56 ammo, just wondering. I saw some sort of caps or suppressors on the tips of your rifles, is that what those are, or is that the actual tip of the rifles?

What happened to the dude with a bloody gauze in his nose? Did he get bopped in the nose or something? When I first saw the pic, it looked like a nose ring or something. Lol!

Thanks for sharing the pics.

Hades,
Nice pics...

Try to enjoy this while you can. Remember it can be difficult, but when you are done and look back you will see that it was not that difficult. Remember that for each thing that you go through. Also remember that it is the one that can put the pain in the back of his mind, push it away, ignore it, that will succeed and come out on top (of course don't be stupid about it...). My motto:

Pain purifies...

The bullets look like wooden training rounds? That may explain the attachments on the muzzles, shreds the wooden projectiles as they exit the muzzle - they CAN still injure (badly). It is mostly Scandinavian countries that have used this method (since WW2 at least).

I would like to know what the weapons are...if you care to share.

Hooohaahhhh soldier!

Sorry i havent answered before but now im home for 2 days,
The weapond is a modified FN FNC i think, but its named AK5, the 5.56 bullets with a red tip was the bullets we used at the last part of exercise and the tip is made of wood thats why we have the big thing on the muzzle so when you shoot the bullet hits it and explode, we use it when exercising against eatchother and when training the first steps in something new and when the officers feels we know what were doing we go to live ammo.

One of the exercises we did was moving 2 and 2 covering eatchother and going throu the wood and then suddenly targets jump up and its was just to shoot them:) we had live ammo so it was really fun ,

i got to go and eat so i see you guys later.
