Splinter Cell Briefing

Here is a splinter cell briefing. Someone will have to make the mission for it. I tried to leave it open ended enough for you to add to it as you see fit. I'm working off of Hammer's prologue here.
Date: November 11th 2019
Location: Sirjan, Iran
Mission Briefing:
Intel reports that Iran has increased its stockpiling of nuclear weapons, selling them those who would do harm against the westernized nations such as United States, United Kingdom, and other NATO friendly countries. Iran has also reputedly been caching its own stockpile in preparation to join the Axis campaign against Europe and the US. CIA reports that one of Sirjan’s power plants may be serving as a façade for a nuclear munitions factory.
Objective:
This mission is purely reconnaissance. All operatives should employ stealth and engage the enemy only when absolutely necessary. Determine whether or not the power plant is indeed a nuclear weapons factory and return the extraction point immediately. If you raise suspicion, you are to abort the mission. Do not attempt to destroy the target, bombers will take care of the power plant if and when it is determined necessary.

How did Splinter Cell get into this and I thought it was a Single player only game.

Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow can be played online in a 2 vs. 2 scenario. Go check ou the Splinter cell website for a better explanation. I know that myself and Gator both have it, and there may be others!
Having said that, mine has been in the box since I bought it, but shouldn't take too much time to learn again.
As far as modding and mission making is concerned I have found nothing which allows any modding. Gator do you know of anything? Does anyone? Perhaps our only way round this will be to take one of the online missions and that to simulate our mission parameters as closely as possible.

as far as i know, it's not moddable/scriptable.
The MP missions are all generally "1 or 2 spies sneak through an environment that is protected by 1 or 2 mercs and the spies try to steal 3 vials of bio-weps."
So, we could have one or a series of infiltrate and recover missions. Since there's no coop against ai, we'd have to have someone play the opfor.

sounds like you need to change the game for this scenario/mission...

make it a chem/bio plant ... where the operatives have to steal enough "evidence" to justify the destruction of the plan.

Hey I followed my orders and produced a briefing. The guy who makes the mission, for whatever game, may change the briefing to fit the limitations of the game. You can alter it for splinter cell, but honestly, I would have to say that this sort of mission should be carried out in RVS. There is even a simple "diffuse" the bomb mission already made for the oil factory map that would work just fine and fit the scenario I described. No briefing would have to be installed. We just play the mission with the briefing I wrote here on the forum and then produce the results in the defbriefing section. EASY!!!! But, hey that's just my humble opinion. You guys want to run it in SC, then I say knock yourselves out. ....No, really, I mean it....knock yourselves out. (Sigh)

Grif - I would agree with you on this. If at some point in the campaign there is a 'recover the chem-bio weps' we could play it in SC, but as briefed, it's clearly an RVS mission. My comments weren't meant to knock the briefing - just to dispel any notion of writing a new mission script for SC.

Have to say, I was personally unaware as to the severe limitations myself, of the online scheme in SC:PT. That does motion for a change of plans IMHO.

Okay, I have just visited the ghostrecon.net site and found news of incoming mods for GR. One is of particular interest and may be of use to us - the CIA SOG / SAS mod. Although they are all worth looking into once they arrive - possible worthy replacements for certain mission types? let us all know what you think once you have read up on the mods.

Didn't take it as a knock Gator. Not in the least. But thanks.
