Hi guys i know a few of you out there use adaware and spybot or both to keep a check on the spyware that gets onto your system via cookies and unscrupulous web sites that try and install dialers and additional unwanted toolbars.

Well i was reinstalling my OS today and as i was downloading ICQ i seen an advert for a program called spyware doctor.

So i went and checked out the reviews of this Spyware removal program and it's got a couple of features that the others don't and they are pretty usefull such as a run in the background setting that stops spyware cookies from getting on your system in the first place and a quick scan on start up and both of these are easily switched off if needed.

I have downloaded it and installed it and it's running great, you have no idea the amont of cookies that try and jump onto your system when doing normal web surfing on legitamit sites such as the Lomac forums and manufacturers Driver pages.

I think it's worth checking out fo rthose of you that like to keep your system clean of leaches.

Get it here!

Does this mean I might see you getting online here so we can test out our Falcon 4SP4.1 using the hyperlobby, in the near future? Cause if it works there, we have to consider that the problem is not to do with our individual machines, but in the system somewhere we are getting blocked by whatever.
With WinXP, I have also upgraded to SP2. Apparently, there is a frame-rate issue between SP2 and Falcon 4. I've read something on the forums about it. And if necessary will implement the work-around. But first we'll see how it works without interference.

SP2! I have seen this advertised on the microsoft update site but my update list does not show it??? I have also seen loads of people posting about the loads of programs that have problems with it on the Lomac forums but i don't seem to be able t get it?

I will have Falcon SP4.1 installed today Kodiak i spent all day yesterday reinstalling XP which is the easy part but it's the reinstalling all my programs that is the laborious part.

Took me under an hour to get XP installed what with reformating and all but it took the rest of the day to get all the updates SP1 and so forth and then norton and all my other main system programs installed and i only managed to get F/A-18 and Lomac installed before i called it a night at 01:30 this morning.

I have SP2 and have had no problems so far, but then I have not flown LOMAC or f4 yet. Still, Jedi Academy, RVS/AS/ and Forgotten Battles aep seem to work fine.

SP2

I will not install SP2 until I absolutely positively have to. I read that it has issues with some MP games, which is about all I play, so I'll wait.

I'm a little wary as well - I mean, if the big fix is to enable the firewall by default, I don't need it. I'll wait til it's imperative.
