Ventrilo question

I get this stupid "newer client is available" message whenever I start Ventrilo.
Anyone know how to get rid of it?

I'm guessing the only real way to get rid of it is to upgrade. I get it too. Having said that, I had a similar thing with ICQ, so I upgraded. And not only did it fail to install over my previous version, when it was finished installing, it STILL claimed I needed to upgrade to the newer version which I already had installed!!

you can not upgrade!!! you will then not be able to connect to the server... the guy is tricky, eh?

Oh yeah, I know we can't upgrade for that reason. Why did we choose not to use the latest version Steel?

Mine never asks me to upgrade - I think it's 'cause I don't have the newer client ...

what version is your client Gator?
mine is 2.1.4.
if you upgrade to 2.2.0 client, which is the latest, you will not be able to connect to our server.

Steel if you goto the setup options in Ventrillo then select the global tab at the top it shows you one option "check for new version" uncheck this and your problem is solved!

mine is either 2.1.0 or 2.1.1 ... not sure ... I know it's the same as Jedi and Panzer.
