Somehow, I have a hard time picturing Brits celebrating our early colonists not starving to death by forming an alliance with natives they would later betray, then rising up against them to later eclipse them as a world power...

Just IMHO. :)

Well, Jedi, I have lived in several different countries in my time. And, not only is it good courtesy, but a natural progression of your integration into your environment; with your neighbours to develope friendships, and the culture as a whole to become accepted as one of those who you are amongst. :wink:
