I am sure I can put quite some CPU power on 24x7...
Plus it is definitely for a good cause.

How could I possibly say no. If you wish to do this as a team or part of a team I'll wait until you get a pile of us together, instead of going out on a limb. But you can count me in for this - I mean my PC is "run-up" all night anyway, it might as well be run-up and online, it won't cost me anymore money.

i have done this before - prolly about a year or so ago. did not have any prob lems. but i stopped it cuz i worried that i could get a virus. in spite of them saying they sent no data to your computer and it was completely safe.
Opinions as to the safety of this?

There is a computer magazine over here called Custom PC that has it's readers join there team for this and they have been running for about 8 months now and have hundreds of members on there team not to mention the few Super overclocked monsters that the magazine crew have running on this 24/7.
I don't know what there ranking is lately but they were near the top of the ranking on this the last time i read the magazine 2 months ago.
I don't think there are any issues with security on this as it has been running for some time now and any major security issues would have been found by now i would imagine.

I would do it ... I have several machines I could "donate" time from.
