Quality of the pics looks great to me Viper!: Guess the authorities over there still aren't taking any chance after last year!!

I bet that Cessna pilot needed a clean pair of shorts after that F_16 buzzed by and came back to make sure he got the message!!

Agreed, but in today's semi-utopian society he should at least not be allowed to fly...

Here in Daytona Beach, we're not too far north from Cape Canaveral, and all of our southern training areas have been shut down due to the airspace restrictions. They're currently running a 30-mile no fly zone I believe, and for the day before and day of the launch, they're extending it to 50 miles. That means Daytona Beach Intl will be shut down, so no flying for us.

Also, I heard a story of an Embry-Riddle student who decided to overfly the no-fly-zone over an MOA one day. An F-16 promptly intercepted him, rocked his wings in an order to follow, and "escorted" him back to KDAB. He made sure the student landed, and then the F-16 pilot landed as well! He taxied up to the Embry-Riddle ramp and climbed out of the jet to have a little "chat" with our student! Almost makes me want to overfly the MOA's just so I can get a close look at the F-16s :)

Anyways, I (unfortunately) haven't started flying yet. Been medically grounded with an injured arm from football (doh!). I'm pretty sure I'll be on the flight schedule for Monday, so hopefully we can get going. I'm getting all A's and B's, and the flight training here is excellent. I've learned alot, but without my flight sim background, I'm sure I'd be lost even more!

It is amazing the background our "games" can give us... My first flight we took off late and came back in after the marine layer rolled in... So my first approach was actually instrument! I knew exactly what to do...my instructor just handled all the comms (that part is still confusing). It was pretty cool.
