just a short note regarding the Mechlords post board.

looks like all threads that ELH has made rather respectfull or not have been deleted from the board. i still feel it is clear censorship of our opinions in this matter considering about 90% of our posts were simply us asking for the facts. (which was never given) i agree with slammer 100% about not posting on their board again. i am posting this here for those who visit who are involved with ML to note one simple thing. If the Primus was impartial as he stated he is. then why deleted all posts regarding this issue EXCEPT his own where he degrades one of our family members? he does not mention the names of the german members that have started this, nor does he state that their actions were Wrong. his post should be removed becuse it is not an 'explantion' as he claims, but an attack becuse Mav offended him. i see this as an abuse of power. for any ML members who see this, remember that abuse of power always starts small, then grows. if you allow this then expect more privlages (much like the privlage of posting our opinions to a board like this one) to be taken away. if left unchecked. what else will be taken away in the Primus's sake for fun? perhaps Unit movements next? perhaps he will play the game for you? at the very least is is something to consider dear guests... this is not posted for a attack on the admin of ML, but rather a thought and a consideration to any who read this that are in a position of power. rather in a league. or a job or anywhere in real life. the point is this friends. there is a fine line between doing whats proper and right and abuse. its our responsibility as members of the greater family, the human race. to do our best not to cross that line.

Clinically, we call this chain of thought 'paranoia'.

All of you have read - or should have read - the Mech Lord League rules which stipulate quite clearly the Administrators roles and duties, which includes 'police' work.

I take it from the confused outcry that none of you have in fact read or obeyed the regulations to which you are all bound by being members of the Mech Lord League. Rules such as, and I quote:

"...Which brings us to our next point - ComStar. ComStar decisions supercede the rules stated here. A decision declared by any administration member of ComStar is final, and cannot be argued for any reason, including fairness, contradicting the rules, or not being warned. We will often throw unexpected twists into major events to spice up the league and make it more realistic, and it may affect your unit negatively... sorry but that's how it goes. While we are happy to discuss our reasoning behind any decision, we will not retract it to please one unit. What it comes down to is that we run the game, and we try to run it as best we can for everyone. And if you don't like the way we run it, play somewhere else, cuz we work our asses off to make it fun for you."

Now considering I did discourse on the subject in "Strange...very Strange" on the general board, my end of the obligation is completed, and I would not expect anyone to have to reveal the contents of a private message on a general board. Why should you expect that of me?

As this has been explained in the rules - something you well should have read before joining, I see no reason for the administrators to be criticised merely for executing *documented* policy.

the true subject behind my post here is not about rules. but about how a person in power should remain fair and inpartial. a person in great power needs to be this way to insure fair play for all. and as a primus it is responsibily to uphold that as much as possible. of course we back Mav becuse he is apart of our family here. and i didnt bring up any point in this post saying he was right or wrong, or that you were right or wrong in takeing his post off. the point i wanted to make was a fair and impartial responce on your part would of been to: yes, post something about what has accured, but otherwise keep the names out of it, if you DO include names then include them all. if he left then so be it. let him. do you state when every member leaves becuse they find something they dont like or agree with in your league? as i said in the first post. it wasnt meant as an attack to your or your league. but to provoke thought on our actions and the fairness of them. if that was your true intrests then perhaps remove your post as well to maintain an unbiased view on the subject. (even if your view was biased by the insult.) that is the essance of leadership. of course we all make mistakes that is given. but if your statements are what your actions are? then why does that post remain? that is not a question i need to know, its a question i would like for you to ask youself. again, its not about rules and judgment. its human relations, right and wrong and all that jazz.

the intent was to perhaps email this to ELH leadership so they could figure out what has happened. that would be the best corse of action considering you and others on the ML board questioning his ethics and now the general ELH image. without all the info. we can not gauge what has happened nor defend ourselfs. i would send the posts to Slammhammer myself just so the ELH leaders know what has transpired. But that is me and how i would do it. becuse i feel that is fair.

Again, please dont misunderstand. this is not an attack on you, i have seen something that is troubling and concerns me in general and i am simply trying to direct your attention to what i see here. i just ask you think about what others see about your post and everything else. if you say you care then that is in order. if you simple do not care, then simply say so, then we would know the type of leadership you are and we will deal with it and make our choice.

if i perhaps knew you i could guage better who and what type of person you are, but i dont know you. all i know is what i have seen. that is all we know about each other in fact. im not posting anything to fix what happened. but perhaps to keep things from becoming like this again.

i hope this clears any misunderstanding. im not 'out to get you' ok? hehe im not realy judgeing you as a person becuse i simply dont know you. im judgeing the situation here. since its the only thing ive seen.

please a note to anyone: ppl on the net tend to feel more free to let emotions flow. why? becuse we have no faces. you dont know where we live or who we are. the quetion becomes then. do we let this become an excuse to let things get out of control. from all the arguments and fights ive seen online around 80% of them were pure and simple missunderstandings... think about it.

The 'information' as you call it was deleted simply because it was a private conversation.

As a league administrator, and the Primus, I am a trustworthy person - saying you need tangible proof over my word is an indication that you do not trust me. If that is in fact the case, I think you had best mull over what exactly you're doing in Mech Lord.

a title does not dicated a persons attributes. that person's actions do. as to rather we want to be in mechlord. all of us im sure is debating that. but thats not what the posts here are about! its not about a change over this, but about asking for EVERYONE to take step back and look at ourselves and to ask OURSELVES these questions. that is the reason for the posts here. and the question i wanted to ask yourslef. i dont need the answer. i can find it in your future actions. i just dont like to see things like this happened without everyone learning something from, about others and ourslves. that is all.

Any my actions are those of someone who tries to keep order. Unlike some of your members, I was not swearing at everything that moved yesterday. I find that appalling conduct in grown adults. And you should trust me, and trust in what my position stands for - everyone else does because I have run the entire V1 with the First Circuit near-flawlessly. There is little else I could do to demonstrate my character. If you refuse to see it for what it is, that is your mistake, and not some grievous character flaw of mine.

And as to learning something: I followed the rules I, and the First Circuit set down. There is nothing to learn from documented statutes other than their meaning.

(im sorry you think that way friend. as ive learned in my short years here on earth. there is something to learn in everything. some are things that are obvious, some are subtle. if we cant look for the subtle things to learn from, then we live only half a life.)

I think it is rather pointless - Primus will NEVER get it. From my observations of his prattle, he is one of those personas that would never be in charge of anything in RL, becasue as stated no one can ever hold power with impunity - no dictcatorship has even lasted - they have all been overthrown eventually. He holds himself to be the ever powerful highest administrator and by his own rules he can do no wrong. He has even put a clause in his rules that adminitrators can go against those rules when they see fit. What is the point in rules? GB league anyone? Well we have all seen he has done something we find not quite right by our standards of leadership, and others do as well, and his league will eventually diminish and shrivel and will be no more...

So is the life cycle of dictatorships...

I really don't play Mechwarrior for the need to play games within games. Having said that I cannot believe the lack of couth and subtleness in which this "League Administrator" has conducted this affair. I find it very interesting that an administrator can let something of this nature become a huge overblown affair. In any case I have warred against <mostly> and with you guys and I only have the utmost respect for the people in this unit.
