Did any of you try and go shopping today???
I have NEVER gone shopping the day after Thanksgiving, but I thought I would give it a try this year.
SO here I am the night before making my list and what stores I'm going to hit. Starbucks first at 5:30am, Michaels Craft store at 6am then off to WalMart right after. Well I was right on schedule, kiss hubby goodbye and I told him I'll probably be home at noon.
I can't remember the last time I got up this early where its still pitch black outside and dead quiet.
Anyway, I got my coffee went to Michaels to use my 50% coupon and I was in and out on the road to WalMart at 6:18am. As I'm wide awake singing to the x-mas tunes on the radio I was so happy thinking, "man, I'm making good time so far and this is easy!".
..now for the rude awakening ..
I pull into the WalMart shopping center and the entire lot is full! Cars are parked as far as the eye can see. I see this line of people with carts about a mile and a half long (no kidding!) just to get in the store! WalMart employees are all over the parking lot directing drivers away, to where I don't know. I didn't stay to find out. As I leave my mouth is still wide open. I just went home and jumped back into bed with Dale and hes giggling at me of course! Oh well, I guess next time I need to start at 4am.
